(“HashMemo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses, maintains, and discloses information obtained from users of https://www.hashmemo.com/, websites owned or operated by us or our affiliates, mobile applications, including iOS and Android applications, and other sites (collectively, the “Site”), as well as our platform, related software, and tools (collectively, the “Software”).

Personal information means information that can identify, contact, or locate a specific individual, either on its own or when combined with other information.

In this Privacy Policy, “Services” means the Site and Software operated by HashMemo.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

Acceptance

Registered users of HashMemo are referred to as “Members.” Some features of the Services may also be used before registration or without registration by users referred to as “Guests.” Members and Guests are collectively referred to as “Users,” “you,” or “your.”

To enable guest use, we may issue a guest ID or other identifier and store information created, saved, or submitted during guest use in association with that identifier.

If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Site or Software. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Changes

HashMemo may modify this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you before the changes become effective.

Our Services are not intended for children, and persons who have not reached the minimum age specified in our Terms of Servicemay not use the Services.

4.1. Data Retention

We generally retain your personal information for as long as you keep your account open or as long as necessary to provide the Services to you.

4.2. Rights to Access and Control Your Personal Information

You may access and edit your profile information through features provided within the Services or by other methods specified by us.

4.3. Account Closure

If you delete your HashMemo account, except as described below, your account and related information will be deleted after 30 days and will no longer be retrievable. During this 30-day period, User Content and account information will continue to be subject to HashMemo’s Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. Users, including you, will not be able to view such information on HashMemo. Once the deletion process has been initiated, it may take up to 90 days to complete. We may retain your personal information after you have closed your account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations, including law enforcement requests, meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, or fulfill your request to unsubscribe from further messages from us. We may retain information in a form that does not identify individuals after your account has been closed.

4.4. Consent

Where we process data based on consent, we will ask for your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Other Important Information

5.1. Security

We implement security measures designed to protect your data. However, we cannot fully guarantee the security of information you send to us.

5.2. Cross-Border Data Transfers

We primarily process data in Japan, but we may process data outside Japan to the extent necessary to provide the Services.

5.3. Lawful Bases for Processing

We collect and process your personal information only where we have a lawful basis to do so.

5.4. Do Not Track Signals

We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser.
